A trendy mansion on Texas’ infamous 6th street with an indoor pool and a co-working house for Polkadot’s hackathon during Consensus 2024.

WebZero hosted The Blockspace at Coindesk Consensus, a hackerhouse series on Austin’s 6th Street, just eight minutes from the main venue. Held from May 27–31, the Graeber Mansion complemented the Polkadot hackathon gold sponsorship managed by the Blockspace DevRel team and funded by the Events Bounty. The program featured co-working drop-ins, workshops, talks, and evening networking events. With ~500 hackers (~100 teams), Polkadot achieved 21 submissions, ranking among sponsors like Stellar (35), Sui (31), and Rootstock (27). Notably, 4 teams continue building on Polkadot post-event. Polkadot’s Consensus Gold Sponsored workshop drew an estimated 300 attendees, and the bounty pool included Phala, Robonomics, StellaSwap, Talisman, Unique Network, and Acurast as ecosystem participants. The event marked a standout achievement in terms of innovation and impact within the Polkadot ecosystem.
